Our staff will be delighted to help you organise this incredible 'Bucket-List' adventure, in association with our friends at 'E-Ko Tours':
For the half-day 'Swim with dolphins' experience, you will spend 2 – 4 hours in the sheltered waters of the Queen Charlotte Sound, where you will view or swim with large pods of dolphins. Multiple species frequent the Sounds at different times of year, including Bottlenose, Common, Dusky (June to December), Hectors Dolphins. This is the only place in New Zealand where you can swim with wild Bottlenose Dolphins. For the Dolphin Swimming Tour, please note:
- This tour is only available with a Picton departure, at 9am, so required a private water taxi to get into Picton for this time (at an additional cost and dependant on availability)
- A BOMC drop off is not always possible after the tour, so may require a further water taxi from Picton to BOMC.
- Dolphin swim time is restricted to 30 minutes in-water time.
- Availability is very limited, only operating 2 day per week between December to June
